Giving Back to the Community

Karen has been an audiologist at Hyman Hearing & Speech Center for over nineteen years. She is a clinical audiologist with over 22 years of experience. Karen has worked with all age groups from infants to adults. She holds the Certificate of Clinical Competence in Audiology by the American Speech, Language and Hearing Association, (ASHA) and is a member of ASHA. She is licensed in Audiology by the Board of Speech Pathology and Audiology, in the State of Ohio.

Jamie Gilts just recently joined our team at Hyman Hearing and Speech Center.  Jamie began her career 12 years ago in the hospitals before spending many years in the school systems.  She has worked with children of all ages, including typically developing children to severely emotionally and behaviorally challenged children.  Jamie has a B.A. in Psychology and an M.Ed. in Speech Language Pathology, both from the University of Toledo.  She holds a Certificate of Clinical Competence through the American Speech Language Hearing Association as well as a license from the State of Ohio Board of Speech Pathology and Audiology.  She is a member of the American Speech Language Hearing Association, the Ohio Speech Language and Hearing Association as well as the Michigan and Virginia Speech Language and Hearing Associations.
